How This Partnership Came to Life
When Mum was diagnosed with stage 4 ALK+ Lung Cancer, she told me that there was a fantastic researcher and clinician based in Boston called Dr.Alice Shaw. Mum felt that maybe the work of Dr.Shaw and Dana-Farber could find a way to prolong our time together. Unfortunately, we did not have that luxury.
I remember Mum saying to me, "Whenever you get back to Boston, after all of this mess, you have to meet Dr.Shaw." Well, the rest is history.
Fast forward to today - all donations from my challenges go directly to Dr.Shaw's work at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, specifically focused on finding ways to prolong and improve the lives of ALK+ Lung Cancer patients.
