Overview
The video shows sights and sounds from the 12 in 24 challenge. The marathons took me all over the world from the deserts of Las Vegas to the historic streets of Rome and Berlin.
Losing Mum so early in the challenge (in between marathons 2 and 3) and finding a way to carry on was unfathomable for me. Carrying Mum down the aisle and delivering a eulogy and still finding a way to carry on with the challenge demonstrated the amount of love I had and have for an amazing lady.
All I know is that during some of our final exchanges, she told me that no matter what came in the aftermath (grief, pain, emptiness, confusion, anger) that I would need to find a way to keep pushing - to push my energy into the challenge and that she would be there, at each finish line, time after time.
